without pressure to score 40 pts a game to have any chance, the offense has been good enough to win 5 while losing 4. finally have a break-a-way threat at tailback to keep defenses honest.

several close games that could have gone either way, but this year we are finding ways to win (blocked kicks and turnovers) rather than ways to lose
