The goal of every kid that plays football is to get chicks. Face it, going to Hawaii gives our kids and opportunity to wear a lei and get laid by some hot chick in a string bikini.
The best Memphis can do is a decent burger with fires at Huey’s while trying to get the toothpick to stick in the ceiling. Yahoo!

Forget Marshall, Tulane and a championship game; let's lose a few so we can bask in the sun!

Hell yes to the OP.

SMU fans need to step up their game in a serious way. This is my first year to count myself among your number, but it can be embarrassing at times. This program has stepped into a new era, one in which bowl games will be a regular occurrence, and CUSA championships will be the goal year in and year out.

At this point, a bowl game is not enough. Gotta get as many wins as you can.....think of the boost in perception, new fans, recruiting, etc. These next two games have mammoth importance. Mammoth.

Mempho can be awfully cold in Jan...list of events for the teams include a "rodeo"...fun and games at Jillian's...one team practices at the Liberty Bowl while the other at Memphis State..I'm yawning...Beale Street is fun for about an hour and a half, maybe...eating pork for 3-4 days, gout sets in...I say, win out, and go drink Mai Tais on the islands...

All of this comes down to expectations as a fan versus expectations as a coach or player. As a fan, I am pretty damned satisfied with our current situation. As a player, which I am not and none of you are, I expect to win every time I suit up.

Chill, fans, and enjoy the moment. The worst that could happen now is pretty damned unbelievably good.

Go Mustangs. Beat Marshall.

I'm not. I want a conference championship. Houston just cracked the door. I suggest we kick the damn thing in.

I want to see 10 and 4

And that could have/ should have been 12 and 4.

When you think about it, most predictions on this board put the ponies at 3-4 wins. So, considering we are at 6 already, most think anything more is gravy. I'm with Patton, let's get on board with a conference championship!

Just because some of us may think anything more than a post-season appearance would be gravy does not mean we don't hope more happens. Jeez, what a bunch of braniacs.

Oh, and just for the record, I was wrong when I said last week that UH had the division in hand, obviously. Just need to get that out there. I think that may be twice this season that I had to say I was wrong. Now that I think of it, that would be twice ever.

You must be getting old.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

You have to give jt credit, at least when he is wrong, he is man enough to admit it. Everyone can respect that.
