RE Tycoon wrote:Takeaway from interview:
- He really wants a practice bubble.
- A&M is trying to buy us out. If that happens he wants Hawaii to fill that spot. May play Hawaii next year depending on how that shakes out.
- Apparently Coach McKnight is quite the party animal, JJ didn't want to elaborate.
- JJ has no idea what it costs to attend SMU. During the interview he said it costs $65k a SEMESTER. Although outrageous, I believe someone posted the other day that next year's tuition, room and board would be $49k...
- He continues to throw out crazy numbers and assertations:
1.Greece spent $800 billion on Olympic security?
2.Olympic committee just decided recently where the 2012 Olympics would be (I'm guessing he meant/thought 2016). JJ was saying he thought Hawaii could have gotten the Olympics if they had built a new stadium.
Would Hawaii come here?

he was probably thinking in euros. $800 billion and you're looking at the counter-party losses we hedged for Goldman
"Concerns about terrorism elevated following the September 11, 2001 attacks. Greece increased the budget for security at the Olympics to €970 million (US$1.2 billion). Approximately 70,000 police officers patrolled Athens and the Olympic venues during the Olympics. NATO and the European Union also provided minor support, after Athens asked for co-operation."
