Adam would seriously be better off at north texas or tcu where he would be needed at TE if he is interested in coming back to the DFW area.

I do not think he stands a chance at really being accepted any more at TTU. Kid is in a no win situation there and anything he does will be twisted and subject to any interpretation desired most of which will be negative or accusatory. He should find a school that has an offensive scheme that uses a tight end and transfer.

Doesn't he have a sister at SMU? Or is that some other celeb with a daughter at SMU?

I don't know, he didn't look like he was drawing too much ire on the sideline at the Alamo Bowl.

I think that staying with his team through the bowl said a lot about him.

He had a daughter who was kappa at SMU...

My though is that the problems will come from the out side. He is probably ok on the team with some resentment; however, other students, faculty and particularly Leach loyal alums will take many opportunities to blame him for everything bad that happens to the team in the future.

I just would have hoped that if Craig James was going to bash SMU -- and he has -- that he do it on a more subdued platform than when he is broadcasting for ABC/ESPN. We can all be critical of SMU and where we think it is and where we want it to go, but I believe Craig chose the wrong forum to do this. I do remember him being complimentary on the broadcast on that Halloween game against UAB in 2006, but I can't think of any other setting.

The difference between him and Eric Dickerson is that while Eric would say some things publicly about the athletic department and so forth, the perception was his intent was that he really wanted football to succeed. And since a lot of people are giving him credit for putting Jones in touch with Orsini, that speaks to that.

Maybe I've missed it, but I have not seen where Craig James has taken on the attitude of "what can I do to help? Or..."visit with people in the university to understand what it will take.'' We may be past that point with football potentially on the rise. But can we honestly point to what James has done on behalf of the university since he left?

We're in an era where actions speak louder than words. I think James' actions toward SMU or lack thereof speak for themselves.
