TCU's strength of schedule will hurt them more in the AP and Coaches polls, sure. But in the grand schem of things, margin of victory wouldn't have helped them THAT much in the BCS rankings because the computers dont factor it in.

The real question for a TCU alum is "Who do you think you are, and who do you want to be?"

If they want to spend money to chase money (a losers game in my opinion), then they should play BYU and Col St because this would raise the profile of their football schedule in the short run. Rice and SMU would seem to be more concerned about playing reasonably competitive football without breaking the bank, while maintaining some semblance of academic integrity. Which TCU may not be as concerned with.

If you don’t stand a real chance of participating directly in the BCS money-grab (i.e. if you are not someone like VA Tech), it makes more sense to stick to your roots/rivals and quit trying to play professional football.

If they ever come up with an eqitable revenue sharing arrangement for the BCS money, then that may change some things.

I hope they stay. But if they leave, I won't lose sleep over it.

No, you are a moron. It is called "reading comprehension". I acknowledged in my post that Army is a conference game, but why Navy? Why Vandy? Did Conference USA tell you to play them?
