If we are in the Top 20 (as TCU usually is), this could be a national TV game - every year - like some of the previous posters are saying.

I would love to see it on Rivalry Weekend or whatever they call it when all the big rivalries take place with a national audience. Isn't it some time in November or near Turkey Day? That would be great!

This game will be a sellout on a friday night...doesn't matter about high school football

If ESPN is moving this game, they're probably moving it to Friday, Sept 10. Auburn vs. Mississippi St has already been moved from Saturday to Thursday for ESPN on that weekend.

Am I the only person who thinks that college football should be played on Saturdays (with the exception of Thanksgiving weekend)?

Forget rivalry weekend, if we're both top 20 this game should be played in the Cotton Bowl during the fair!

Nope, you're not.

I can appreciate the Thursday night games but definitely not Friday. The real question: Can it be used against us in recruiting?

I don't want to give up a Boulevard saturday for friday night. In the state of Texas you do not want to compete against friday night lights. Not one recruit will see the game.

There's your answer if recruits wont see the game.

I was going to say, if it's on ESPN they can always DVR it and watch it later! I know the Hawaii Bowl airs daily at my house! I watch it hoping we shut them out, but unfortunately come away with that same feeling every time! :D

I'm glad someone else is touting this as I still think on the last weekend of the Texas State Fair would be a great tradition to start having the SMU/TCU showdown yearly. It would be great fun and I'm sure the City of Dallas would cut a deal for something like this to occur in a yearly series. The game could attract alot of fans that otherwise wouldn't go to the game in Ft Worth or Dallas.

They have to clear the students out and make everyone move their cars. I wonder where you'd park?

Where there's a will....

TCU is playing Oregon State at Jerry World? That seems like an odd matchup for that venue. How do you fill 90,000+ seats with those 2 teams?
