Re: Ponies on the cover of DCTF!
actually that's incorrect-because I'm older than you and I've subscribed to Texas Football and they've had all kinds of publications off season in the past including newsletters and off season magazines many of which are pictured here in the link-look for the ones that don't have full page pictures. They may have restarted it in 2006 but they have regularly published winter or offseason publications in the past.

we're talking about winter edition magazines, of which this will be the 4th
Winter Book Covers
2006: Vince Young of Texas
2008: Coach Mike Sherman of Texas A&M
2009: Quan Cosby of Texas, Michael Crabtree of Texas Tech, and Chase Clement of Rice.
2010: Jerry Hughes of TCU, Jordan Shipley of Texas
Further, your post was
they've always had a Winter Edition
Therefore, newsletters don't qualify because they aren't an "edition." Also they didn't publish a winter edition in 2007 which would make your argument technically incorrect even if you were starting the time frame of your argument in 2006.

there are at least 21 MAGAZINES on that link in addition to the newsletters and summer editions-and that's not even a complete inventory. There most definitely has regularly been Winter editions. They covered Bowl Games and Recruiting and State Championships

Spring editions, published in April-May covered the bowl games, recruiting, State Championships
Besides, you stated that they have "ALWAYS" had a "winter edition" which we know is not true

If nothing else, PonyFans sure do like to argue with one another.

SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

That is just not true, and I resent you making that accusation.
