Not allowed to. The gameday presentation people tell the band when they are allowed to play, and that was not a time that the band was allowed to play.

That's not right and so negative...Memphis has only lost to top 15 teams this year and to UTEP, who is also a good team. SMU played well and deserved to win and it was against a very talented and tough team. There are 3 or maybe 4 NBA quality players on their team.

enjoy the win I definitely did, but cmon, this memphis team just slipped past Marshall the other night, and only beat Southern Miss by 2. Sourthern Miss is what 1-5 in the league? Kilmer is right, this is a down year for CUSA, definitely a one bid league again i think. UAB looks like the class of the conference talent wise. honestly beating uab would have been a better win than beating memphis, name value aside.

This could easily be a two bid league, if UAB holds serve and wins most of the rest of the schedule, and somebody else wins the tourney. When Memphis was untouchable, it was a one bid league. Not so much anymore

Think ESPN mentioned UAB, Tulsa, Memphis, and one other (UTEP?) as potentials for the NCAA tourney. If UAB gets in we might get one more on the bubble, but it probably will be a one-bid league again.

Regardless of how good memphis is (or isn't), doesn't really matter...they are a more talented team. What does matter and The most important thing that this win does is instill CONFIDENCE in our guys..something that has been lacking since Doh has arrived on campus. Hopefully now they can believe they deserve to be on the court with anyone. I really like the chemistry and what we have going on now that Doh has stopped his ridiculous substitution pattern and has been letting the guys play without the fear of getting the hook after their first turnover or first missed shot. D will, walker, Haynes, Nyakundi and Dia is a nice starting line up with mccoy the first man off the bench. Speaking of Mccoy, props to him for doing what is best for the team and coming off the bench and playing hard and not having an ego. I like what Faye can do in a limited role and not being a focal point of the offense. Otis is a great role player. This should be our 8 man rotation unless Dia gets into foul trouble and we need Luttman to bang. Lets keep it up!

Although the win was great I still look at the overall record of Doh and have great doubts that he really belongs here. Guess we will see what the rest of the season looks like.

GO PONIES!!!

At the risk of being called a flip-flopper, I say give him some time to see what he can do here. It looks like this program may finally be turning around - 4 straight wins, and the last two over very good teams.

true, because memphis still has enough name value to get a benefit of the doubt bid. the real key is that the tournament is not in Memphis this year. Tulsa could even win it at Reynolds.

ClickClack, I think we can both agree on that.

Tournament isn't at Reynolds either (actually, the women's tournament is at Reynolds). Men's tourney is at the brand new BOK Center in downtown Tulsa. It's supposedly palatial.

enough with the debate of the league and how good Memphis is. They were the better team with better athletes and we won. Great win regardless! -- I'm more impressed with the way we closed it out -- if it was against Rice or Houston or Memphis. GO Ponies!

p.s. Doh looked like an idiot all game - over coaching and directing traffic. He acts like he wants to jump in some shorts and start playing.

Pastner looked like more of an idiot than Doh did.
