and yet NOAA says this:

The average temperature in December 2009 was 30.2 F. This was -3.2 F cooler than the 1901-2000 (20th century) average, the 14th coolest December in 115 years. The temperature trend for the period of record (1895 to present) is 0.1 degrees Fahrenheit per decade.

show me some data, and I'll show you some data to refute it.

As a great American once said, Facts are stubborn things. Things aren't always as black and white...or right or WRONG (to use a Stallionism) as you/we would like for them to be.

Not to mention, you just made the point that the earth is older than 6000 years and there weren't and Tom Skiilling 7000 years ago, so we don't have any real data on the subject...

Measuring the last 2000 years climate wise would still be such a small sample size that it would be worthless in every measurable method...it could simply just as easily be a 1st or 3rd standard dev.

and actually the sampling's smaller than that. They've only been recording such things since the 1880s....which was conveniently pointed out in the first paragraph of the NASA story.

We haven't had this kind of wheels off deviation from a topic in a long time, congrats to all.

I think we can all agree that the earth has been warming up since the end of the ice age...some times refered to as the last ice age (does that mean there have been other cycles of cold and hot climates). Man is a special species, but you can't credit or blame everything that happens on the human race. There is still alot more that we don't know than what we do know. The search for knowledge will continue forever.

Or maybe it was because I think flag waving state secessionists are treasonist? That Obama has proved beyond a shadow of a doubt under U.S. Law that he was born a citizen of the United States? Or that I believe in evolutionary theory? Or the Earth was created a litt' bit longer than 6,000 years ago. At least I'm not ignorant and uneducated.

I think the argument that you're not ignorant can be debated. You're a narcissist if you believe your postulations are the only ones that can possibly be right and everyone else is beneath you, and the only thing you can do to combat those who do not fall within your absolutisms is call them names. Put more colloquially: A pattern of traits and behaviors which signify infatuation and obsession with one's self to the exclusion of all others and the egotistic and ruthless pursuit of one's gratification, dominance and ambition. (e.g. "I was the first one to say this", or "I've been saying this for years," or "all you who say xyz while I've been saying abc" etc. etc. Or "...at least I'm not ignorant and uneducated"....a stance literally to the exclusion of all others with no real reference point.

I've never encountered anyone-on a message board or otherwise-so taken aback when someone has differing points of view than theirs. It's an interesting social study to watch the alter egos of Stallion on pf.com and Pony Express on Rivals.
