Thats exactly right! How does it make us look when we run off someone who actually cares about this program. Some publicity would be great!

Now while I am in the "keep the link group"....Sure is odd that all 6 of ponyfan8's posts have been about the original poster and his link? So the conspiracy theorist would say that you are in cahoots with him....or you love him.

Haha sorry i am not him, and I think I did comment on something that wasn't about this. But no I just joined this site. I am usually on ponystampede so I've read Max's stuff before. I just don't know why they won't let him on here if other places are okay with it.

Hopefully his O-line can keep him off the ground for most of his career. I think we have a good young O-line core along with some vets so it should be good.

Agreed, the veterans on this line have grown physically and grown together as a group. The tackles, in particular, are really starting to blossom, and I think Bryce Tennison is going to be a stud at center.

Should be interesting to see Kelly Turner taking over at right guard, too. Isn't he supposed to be the strongest player on the team?

Not having LeRiebus at LG this year is a huge blow to the OL...he was going to do big things and Josh and Beach on the left side was great....was already names preseason all texas 2nd team I beleive....It will be interesting to see who replaces him....any ideas? Free? Faverau? Collins

Right now, I'm hearing Faverau is penciled in at LG. Where I get really concerned is who's ready to step in when one of our starters is injured or needs a breather.

the spam post above is hilarious.

Back to the topic of this (hijacked) thread:

ain't it value added if SMU-interested bloggers post and link their stuff here?

Where is the extra pub? He is posting and leaving his link here trying to get someone already interested in SMU athletics to come read his blog...which from what I have read is mostly quoting something published on ponystampede.com. It's not like he is out there developing new fans for SMU.

If someone googles SMU Football and Padron, it comes up. The more shhhtuff that is out there the better, especially positive coverage.

Now if ponystampede has a problem with him copying then that is another issue. The truth is the guy is probably not, never was going to come back, so it really doesn't matter. He wasn't trying to get anyone to buy anything, just trying to get some hits on his website while putting out more SMU related junk. If anyone thinks that it was going to take business away or ad revenue away from P-fans is nuts. I wish he would have just been upfront and said "hey, I started a free blog about smu football. Check it out." I don't see the harm there. If he said "Hey,I started a free blog about gardening. Check it out." - then that is different.

I have no problem with the Mods pulling what they want....I do find it funny that ponyfans complained to the Mods about the post though. Especially when his post actually got people talking about SMU football and off the conference shake ups.

How do you know that no one stumbles across his blog who previously knows nothing about SMU? It sounds like you might think the only way to access his blog is to start on ponyfans.com and click on his link.
