no, to be an approved caterer you have to 'donate' a game's worth of food to the stadium club, and pay for some advertising. it was about $20,000 all said and done. BUT, you can call your order in on thursday or earlier and let us know what you want (menu available on our website in my sig) and come pick it up prior to the game. if you're driving in to the blvd anyway, what's it hurt to throw some ribs/sausage/chopped beef sliders/cole slaw/potato salad/etc. into your back seat?
plus it will be a heckofa lot cheaper than the place at perry's.
Ha. okay, you can thank me for giving you that opening!
One of the fun parts of the Boulevard has been cooking the meals. My group pitches in for parking and some food... then each brings a complementary item. I undestand if this is business entertaining that can not be done but if this is family and friends.. give it a try. Go Mustangs

Wal-Mart and Safeway (maybe others, too) sell the EZ Grill http://www.ezgrill.com. These little guys make it so easy to cook out at a tailgate. They're a few bucks apiece. Line up three and cook all day with no cleanup.
Our friends love the blvd. so much that now they have started to ask which days they can be in charge of food. This experience sells itself, and I can't wait till September to roll around.
We normally have everyone pitch in and I agree, it totally makes the experience more fun.
You hit the issue on the head though, this research is for business entertaining. Was hoping to bring in a caterer realtively cheaply. I am on to plan B now.
To change the course of the thread a little, I think it is totally crappy that SMU would shut out local restuarants that support the program.
