Padron gives us the best shot to win, but he has a lot to learn. We'll win our next two at home

Mods should delete this thread, just because of the title. What an idiotic thread.

And McDermott...are you kidding me.

I question whether you even watched a single game he played in last year?

my guess would be that he lost hand strength with the hand to the helmet hit, jj new he needed a long throw and knew mcdermott could make the long throw

I thought the reason Padron spiked the ball was because he thought he had fumbled the ball on the sack and wanted to run a play before TV Replay. Nothing else makes any sense. I thought he fumbled it but this possibility flew over commentators heads and ESPN never showed a replay

Agreed - even on a day when he didn't have "it," Padron battled and led us back almost all the way. Showed great heart. Some fold on bad days. He didn't.
He'll shred UAB's defense.

Dude, you're the pansy here. Padron played his [deleted] off. Not his best game, but not bad for his seventh D-1 start.

Hey dude that turf was 148 degrees and JJ still made Kyle run to him from every place on that field even when he had run the ball in the game, much less get hit every time during the game and still get his [deleted] up and go over to the sideline...again and again. He must have run a marathon compared to everyone else......lol. How tough would you be?

I imagine our poster wasn't sitting in the stands and is certainly a troll. Kyle gave up his body for his teammates and no one was more disappointed than him that he had to sit out several plays.

Padron is plenty tough. He took a lot of shots during the game. I do hope that his bad outing was just first game jitters, a tougher opponent and not a sophomore slump. The first interception on a first down was a pass he never should have thrown and did not throw it last year. The last pick, he threw it right into the defender's gut, which makes me think it was a blown route because the receiver turned out and he threw in.

I am a Red Raider and was at the game and anyone who is questioning Padron's toughness is wrong. He took hits and played hurt a lot Sunday. He came off to get a play from June in the 2nd qtr and looked like he was favoring his throwing shoulder. He took a lickin and kept on tickin. If he could have been on the field at the end, he would have been on the field at the end.

I am curious to know though, how many of those here questioning Padron's toughness were actually at the game yesterday?

The ones that question his toughness are internet posting tough. They can sit for hours posting about how soft a player is and never get a cramp in their hands.
