Bayless was hired away from the DMN by the Herald in 78 or 79, about the time SMU's rise started

Mac is a graduate of Kansas. LBOH is an alum of Mizzou. Both favor the Big 12-2.
He's also a graduate of TCU and works there. It has shown this week in his myriad of posts degrading SMU. DMN probably loves it because it's growing traffic. I think he's a purple [deleted].

Engel is scared they've awakened a sleeping giant and that we'll ruin their dream season.

Skip is a Vandy guy, if I'm not mistaken...lots of similarities between SMU and Vandy back in the day.

Mac Engel is an epic [deleted] and has belittled TCU all season with his stupid blog posts. Don't take one anti-SMU post to mean anything. He's been awful for us all year.

Mac and his also uninformed wife live a block from the TCU campus and fly their stupid Missouri and Kansas flags from their front porch during football season. They need to go back to the midwest that they love so much.

The only thing positive about this then is the fact that he is an a-hole to everybody. And he even has ties to TCU, so the fact that he would dog you guys so much is ludicrous.

All we can imagine is that he doesn't want to be considered a "homer" in the jouranlistic circles. So, he writes in a fashion that ensures no one will consider him pro-TCU. Actually, LBOH has written a few nice things about us over the past year.

I am sure in the Engel family, who wears the pants is still up for debate.

You know we could come up with a particularly loathsome honor. Allow offending sports writers the "honor" of riding one of the geldings. Sort of like letting Dukakis ride in a tank.
