perhaps the great Bob Stoops ought to be more worried about why he continues to lose year after year to teams with clearly inferior talent. That's really only to jab at those that continually bash Mack Brown and annoit Bob Stoops as a genius because he beats UT every year but for a genius his team really does lay a stinker every year.

But at least Stoops doesn't lose to the same team every year (and badly) -- as Mack Brown's cows do against OU -- while being annointed by his team's fans as the savior. At least OU wins most of its big games. Has Mack Brown ever won a conference championship? Nope. Ever won a big game? Debatable (depending your definition of "big"), but basically .... Nope.

I know you were kidding about Bennett holding Snyder back, but KSU never won a conference title with Bob (or Mike) Stoops as his DC either.
Although OU has destroyed everyone this year, they actually had an pretty easy Big XII schedule. Other than UT, who seems to have a mental block more than anything, they played one ranked team, Okie State. They didn't have Nebraska on the schedule, didn't have KSU until now. Alabama was a faked punt away from beating them.
If El Roberson was able to expose that OU secondary that badly, what could USC and Norm Chow do? And how will Jason White and that complete lack of a running game play against an LSU defense that is 10 times better and faster than KSU's? I guess we'll see.
There's no justice in a team that is #3 in both polls getting to play in this game. The problem is that the computers treat the OU/KSU BLOWOUT no different than if KSU had won on a hail mary. The voters, they saw who had no business playing for the national championship out those three teams yesterday. What a shame.

If USC's loss was to Cal, like someone wrote earlier in this thread, then the real injustice is that they're #1 in the polls. It shows that when you lose is more important than what team beats you. Maybe LSU should be #2 and OU #2, making the bowl matchup acceptable.
