Found my copy while searching for the lost ark in the Arabian desert. I enjoyed reading it during my tea breaks.

Greetings. I am the author of A Payroll to Meet.
The book has been out of print for two decades. Here is a link that might help you find a copy at your local library:

Mr. Whitford:
I read your book a few years ago. Enjoyed it quite a bit. Very quick read. I would gladly purchase a copy. $100+ is a little steep for my blood. My first name is not Sherwood.

Do you think it's possible to look into a new edition being printed? There might be a market for it with the rise of SMU football and the ubiquitous praise of Thad's film.

Bought a decent used copy online for $20 earlier this year. It pops up on ebay occasionally but usually for $35+. If you watched the ESPN film, there's nothing in the book that is anything new.

Thats great to come on here Mr Whitford....I will get a book somewhere...any insight or interesting stories from your research for the book ( that didn't make it into the book) that may be of interest to Ponyfans?

Thanks David. I have an autographed copy of the book, but will definitely be buying a few paperbacks to hand out to my friends who are college football fanatics.

I have a hardcopy that I bought for a pretty steep price a few years ago. I've read it twice and lend it to fellow cfb fans. They all loved the book.
David - Would there be any way possible to have it signed by you? Feel free to send a PM.
Thanks!

Bought an original hardcover in a used bookstore back in 2008, pre-Pony Excess.
Still on my bookshelf.
