There are a lot better things to hate.

Thanks Dutch and mrydel. I just thought some of you might want to see the breakdown. Nothing more....hope to see smu success continue and enjoy reading this board.Dutch wrote:you're new here, so we'll take this with a grain of salt b/c you don't know good from bad yet. Reedfrog is a worthwhile poster with generally unbiased, well thought out posts. not mindless purple dribble.SMULaxer wrote:This is analysis of someone who attended a second tier university. I would agree with you on about everyone but ReedFrawg. He is a good poster, suspect a good guy.NickSMU17 wrote:How many pages are you going to post on?
You guys really need to stay on your own board...
Not flaunting at all...if I didn't include TCU I figured everyone would be curious so I included us. I also included some of the schools I care about. I have a friend who coaches at Rice so I included them and there has been a lot of discussion about the UCF class so I included them for you guys. Didn't mean to cause a stir.SMULaxer wrote:you shouldn't hate anything mr ydel --- but a rivalry is a rivalry. don't come in here and flaunt your program in our faces. fightin' words.
I didn't have time to include every regional school and none of us care about the Big 12 schools anyway. Go ahead and celebrate your class - I am not taking anything away from that.NickSMU17 wrote:The info was wrong and it clearly made a point of saying tcu is the greatest of them all. If it was regional included all regional schools, but put in rice, uh, ucf?, and tcu it clearly making a point that tcu's class is great.
I'm not going to keep arguing bc it is pointless. the great thing about this country is that tcu fans can freely post on their rivals message board. I am also sure Reed is a great guy but I am tired of hearing about fukin tcu when I log onto ponyfans.
We just signed a class that will allow us to beat them and others and I want to celebrate that.
Agree with regard to a lot of the TCU visitors here but I have been posting on this board for several years now. I have a lot of down timeNickSMU17 wrote:My issue is that the minute tcu gets brought up over here. 10 guys from killerfrogs run over here to gloat...
It's all cyclical my friends and that's why I stick with my team instead of wasting my time on other teams boards...at some point you will look like an asss.
I have no problem with people joining in on the discussion but that's rarely how it plays out.
ReedFrawg admirably represses his TCU/Korean heritage when commenting on the glory of SMU.ReedFrawg wrote:Agree with regard to a lot of the TCU visitors here but I have been posting on this board for several years now. I do my best sensei...Samurai Stang wrote: ReedFrawg admirably represses his TCU/Korean heritage when commenting on the glory of SMU.
Perhaps a better analysis would show how many players had multiple bcs offers...ReedFrawg wrote:Obviously there is no exact science to measure a recruiting class. However, like Stallion, I believe that looking at the offers a player has is more valuable than their star ranking - this is even more relevant based on the fact that Rivals is much quicker to give out 3 stars now than they were 5 years ago. I only included D1A offers...
Here it is...
SMU 27 Players 92 Total Offers 38 BCS Offers
TCU 25 123 80
Rice 20 59 12
Hou 22 41 21
UCF 26 111 76
Based on this, UCF had an outstanding class. Houston had a weak class...thought you guys might be curious like I was.
SMU (per rivals) - I excluded the preferred walk-on.GoRedGoBlue wrote: I'd like to see it broken up by how many players who signed had a bcs offer, and how many had multiple bcs offers. That would be more representative of what you are trying to show.
