Smokey Johns is my favorite in Dallas. One is near Baylor hospital. The other is on mockingbird near i35. Worth checking out.

Seriously? That place is more like Bennigan's than a real BBQ joint, IMHO. Next you're gonna say Spring Creek.
I used to like Holy Smokes before they went out of business. Now I settle for Sonny Bryan's on Lovers, but it not an ideal settlement. (Can you say "chain"?)

try smokey john's, there are 2, but it's hardly a chain.
