Great for AR!...Skins stole him....too bad AR couldn't have been a free agent instead of such a late rounder...no money and no choice of teams.

Even if he had an off day and the Skins were there, Al played 4 years, they had plenty of documentation of him as a player to know what they were looking at.
Hope it pans out well for him. I hope he can snag a couple TD's this year, just as long as he doesn't catch any TD's against the cowboys (unless it is in garbage time)

Harris is a hell of an athlete and he scared me every time he got the ball. I liked that pick for the cowboys.

Really? You think so?
CONGRATULATIONS, Aldrick! Welcome to Washington!

Sixth-round draft picks make more than free agents.

Every year for as long as I can remember, I always hold out a little hope that the Cowboys will draft a Mustang for a little local PR. Judging from all these years of disappointment, this doesn't seem to be an organizational priority. Can't remember last Mustang drafted by Cowboys.

I know he wasn't drafted by them, but Bryan McCann is gettin a little bit of the local PR.

As one of the Skins fans on this board, (and hey, I was born here), I am tickled to death that the they took AR. If I were AR, I'd make a beeline to befriend Santana Moss. Moss reminds me of AR in so many ways (except he catches everything), and Moss has lost a step. If he listens, learns and does everything he is told to do by the coaches, he has a great chance. He'll probably have Rex Grossman throwing the ball to him. Hopefully Kyle Padron will improve enough that in 2013, he'll be at the top of the Redskins board.

The Boys also picked up Justin Rogers on a waiver claim when the Patriots cut him during the pre-season, so that's 2 SMU players in a matter of a few years. They obviously have no problem employing Mustangs. It would've been nice though if they could've drafted one this past weekend!

The Redskins receiving corps is dreadful. Behind Santana Moss, they don't have that much. I have been a Skins fan for years, and I have mixed feelings about this pick. I want Aldrick to do well, and it'd be great if he did well for the team I root for, but the Skins have been such a disaster since Snyder bought them that part of me wishes he had gone to a team more likely to actually develop him.

http://www.databasefootball.com/players ... Universitythere was a time when the cowboys had more players in their history from smu than any other college. that probably dropped off when we took a little hiatus from the sport.
