I do not believe Frazier's knees will let him be drafted.

And Margus has massive strength and talent, but technique (if we base this solely on last year) is still kinda raw. Not to mention he will be turning 24 this summer, which would make him one of the older players in the draft. If he has a phenomenal season (which I hope) I wouldn't rule anything out, but he has progress to make.

Looks like we had a pretty good idea of who was going last year, but we over-estimated Banjo and Frazier. I didn't see the whole "Thompson to TE" thing coming back then.

Rounds ...
1 - Margus
2- DJ
3 - JG
5 - Line
UFA - Pitman (don't say he's undersized height-wise - those guys in the middle are just big bowling balls)
UFA - T Reed

Would be great for Margus, but also the program for recruiting. No football to Round 1 in four years!

jg is too small - he won't be drafted.
other then that i think you have it right - if line comes back 100%

This is what concerns me about both Davis and Reed. There are so many linebackers coming out each year, and while these two are great college players, they may not be drafted given their size. Yes, there are always exceptions to the rule, but between being smaller, and playing in C-USA, they have the deck stacked against them.
I think we'll see Margus, Line and DJ drafted.
McKJunkin is the only other Senior that I think may have a chance. His experience at Center and Guard (Assuming he starts there this year) may make him attractive towards the end of the draft, especially if Josh and Beach can prove that SMU guys are more than just system products. But then, he's nowhere near as dominant as Josh, or as accomplished as Beach. So he would have to just decimate C-USA this season if he is going to get any looks.

Knowing what you know now, would you use a first round pick on Margus Hunt? I'd see him now as more of a third round guy next draft with the potential to really move up if he continues last year's progress this coming year. That bowl game performance was pretty damned impressive.

Good point.
Right now, he's probably 3rd round. But if he has a dominant year and really shows his knowledge of the game and stays healthy he might move up to 1st round once it's all said and done. His size and athleticism is just too hard to ignore. Plus since JJ said it, I think I'll lean that way. He was dead on with his assessment this year. His pro day (or whatever they call it) will most likely really help him.
Junk might indeed get drafted with a great year and barring injuries. He could be a late pick up due to his versatility. He's certainly got the experience, character, and leadership. I think he's also someone who will have to do very well in his pro day - bench, especially.
I think JG is a legit pro prospect. He's not real tall but he's a playmaker and is pretty stout. With a good year, he might make a late round. T Reed has really good speed and might end up a free agent somewhere as a special teams ace. I like his competitiveness and grit. If he has a great pro day, you never know.
