Should be an electric atmosphere in that stadium and one of these days June Junes is going to pull off an upset of one of these big name teams we play.[/quote]
That statement just got me extremely excited about this game. Not that i wasnt already, but it for some reason sent a rush of excitement through me like i just found out we're gonna go in there and for sure pull off the upset.
I can see it now. That stadium full of roaring fans that suddenly go completely silent, except for the small section of SMU fans screaming there lungs out, when we force a turnover at the end of the game to seal the victory.
Would be electrifying.

Different sport, but my thoughts exactly on this game.
I am tired of hearing about what a great football team the Aggies have. SCREW 'EM!!!
Hope to see you all at the game.

think Jones Stadium in Lubbock, during a particularly creative kickoff return a few years ago.
EPIC quiet.

Re: A&M: Too much hype?
Taken from espn article....
The Aggies' war hymn, played at every Aggie sporting event, has verses dedicated to the Longhorns.
Goodbye to Texas University, so long to the orange and the white. The eyes of Texas are upon you, that is the song they sing so well, sounds like hell.
Those words ring loud and proud at different points during the Aggies' war hymn, and at the end of the song, all Aggies lock arms and legs across seats and sway back and forth, "sawing" off the horns of the Texas Longhorns.
In the Aggies' marching band, the instrument known as the tuba is called a "bass horn" because the word "tuba" is spelled with t.u. And on the face of the clock tower in the center of the A&M campus, the Roman numeral for the number four is read as IIII because students once thought IV looked a little too much like t.u.

Re: A&M: Too much hype?
Now I agree with this entirely
We pull a shocker out in Aggie Land.
P.S. The use "IIII" instead of "IV" because they don't know any better.

Re: A&M: Too much hype?
In all honesty, with a kid that goes to A&M, I watched almost all their games along with SMU and went to several at kyle field. It is one of the loudest places I have ever seen a sporting event. By any means I would be extremely shocked to us pull an upset. This is the same team that was able to hold down OU and Nebraska. I know that Von Miller departing will be a major gap in their defense, but with all the athletes at WR and Tannehill as apparently only gotten better this spring. I think everyone here is really overlooking their athletes and I just hope we can force enough mistakes and take advantage of them if we pull an upset. From what I saw last year they were a completely new team once Jerrod Johnson was benched. Its going to be one tough game but I'll be cheering the stangs on from kyle field.

Re: A&M: Too much hype?
really got to mention their RBs-two future NFL Draftees. They are bad-ass and we haven't seen anything to compare them with.
