The four new commitments from Texas only are a good thing if they prove to be better than out-of-state players who might have considered SMU.
As someone wrote on here a week or two ago, zip code has absolutely nothing to do with talent.

some SMU fans need to be relegated and banished to Division II like in the English Soccer League until you pull your panties up and start expecting Division I performance. I'm sure June Jones will find all sorts of sleepers from the Briar's patch. I expect SMU to outrecruit teams too. That's why he and his staff were hired and part of the job description is recruiting top talent especially in Texas.

Stallion, you're over 50. Act like it.

Too bad you regurgitate nonsense on a daily basis.

I have to take this site seriously? One of us does, and I know it isn't me.

Geez, we have had one kid decommit and we are ready to panic? How many times did Yenga commit and decommit last year? Kids change their minds. It happens and there is no need to panic in June.

People, if you want us to recruit the best, this is part of the game. I think someone pointed this out last year, but do you really want to go back to the Bennett years when no one was interested in our recruits? It is nonsensical to argue that we need to recruit better players and then have your feelings hurt if a kid decides to consider all of their options. Especially a 16-17 year-old kid who commits eight months before signing day.

Does this have something to do with Bently on the Bachelorette?

Has absolutely nothing to do with any decommit...

He has already posted it in some other thread. I will not repeat the name, but if true, one of our potential stars is not making his grades. It happens all the time. It is not good. You should not be happy. But this is why depth has a purpose. There are more ways to miss games than injuries. We are not the only school where this happens.

Hmm, I must've missed that. Same guy we were worrying about earlier this year?

I do not think it is who you are talking about but I do not want to even speak about it anymore. I have no facts. Nick may but I do not and hate to speculate on a kids future.
