Not dressing up anything. With no pass rush, there was no reason for anyone to scramble, so to suggest Padron was "slow" is curious. I indicated that neither team looked sharp, but the quarterbacks on both teams, when unable to locate an open receiver, simply held the ball and took a "sack." None of the quarterbacks on either team moved much at all, so I'm not sure how you can call any of them "slow." Were the QBs razor-sharp? No, but I'm not sure how you can call any of them "slow," either.

7 on 7 is to real football about as much as 2 on 2 halfcourt is to a 5 on 5 basketball game. Probly less. I mean how many tackles did Line break last season? 7 on 7 one touch and the play is over. Skill, speed, agility, quickness, power and awareness are all much less of an advantage in 7 on 7 than it is in a real football game. This 7 on 7 stuff doesnt bother me one bit.
You guys are right. But, the last two games last year were pretty diasappointing. I love Kyle, he is tough, he can pass and he is smart. But, he didn't react fast enough toward the end of the season, whether he was hurt, tired or confused and you play like you practice.
I mean Kyle did injure his ankle in the ECU pretty well, so that could be a testimony to his "slowness." Nonetheless, he's still got a good-enough arm, and decision making abilities that can take us where we need to be. We all need to trust him seeing how he is our QB 1 right now. J.J is going to be a show though when he gets the chance.
I dont care what you say about Holman, he's a lock at one of the outside spots after the performance he threw in in the bowl game. AND he's only a sophomore! That's awesome to hear about Joubert coming back from surgery, "he's still got it"- the hangover
Defense, Defense, Defense... 7-on-7 is where a defense can really gain some confidence going into the season; given it's all passing. Watch out for them to improve, Drastically, in the next few weeks! Love these notes, keep 'em coming

Holman I wouldn 't think is a LOCK. I EXPECT him to start but he has to earn it. I mean he caught like 2-3 passes a game late in the season which is nice but nothing to brag about when you throw the ball 40-50 times a game. Some one has to catch the ball and June rarely plays backups. Run and Shoot WRs are going to catch passes. His position was perhaps the least productive on the football team last year. Considering how much he was on the field last year catching 9 passes is pretty Ho-hum and his position is in need of big improvement. I personally think he was in over his head and played because of recruiting deficiencies, academic issues, injuries and lack of quality competition at the position, Otherwise he would have redshirted which theoretically he should have.
