Have to say I keep going back and forth--I felt confident and then I started feeling less confident. We need the best game from every player we have, we need good officials and we need good call playing by JJ. Hopefully, our guys won't let the atmosphere get in their heads.
College Football 10 College Football Picks Against the Spread for Week 1 By Erik Underwood (Correspondent) on August 15, 2011
SMU at Texas A&M (-15.5)
Texas A&M may have gotten slightly under-ranked in the first preseason polls, and may prove to be one of the top two or three teams in college football this year.
The Aggies return 18 starters, and have talent at all skill-positions with QB Ryan Tannehill, RB Cyrus Gray and WR Jeff Fuller.
June Jones has gotten off to a great start with the rebuilding job at SMU, taking them to their first consecutive bowl games since the early 80s.
While I expect SMU to be a fairly improved team, Texas A&M has too much talent and will roll in this one by about THREE touchdowns.
I think we can win for sure. Especially because A&M is known to underachieve when they are praised
Someone has been paying attention to Aggie football trends. This is exactly why this game makes me nervous. I need the Ags to win, with a respectable showing from SMU. Then SMU to go on and win CUSA, so that it is indeed a quality win for TAMU. Everybody wins (TAMU just wins a little more).
If they break out the swords, we will turn the cheerleaders loose on them. Aggie cadet losses would be significant
I think Parson's Mounted Cavalry should be the only ones with sabres. I also think they are mostly busy with attending the cannon nowadays. That said, you can never really trust the corps not to do something stupid and/or embarrassing.
