If we come out with anything less it's going to be a long day.
I don't expect to see 2005....we are much improved. This game will be decided by lass than 2 TDs.
I'm right there with you.
That 05 game was a sheer kick in the sack. The difference this year is that I don't feel that we are completely outmatched. I distinctly remember when we started playing Tech again how much smaller our guys were vs. BCS school players in every key matchup on the field. Yeah, we still give up some size to the bigger schools, but we're talking a few pounds and a little height, not 50 lbs and half a foot.
The only area that really has me overly concerned is our secondary. They are still a little on the small side. The one evenly mathced guy there is Banjo, but he can't be everywhere.
PLUS, we are playing in the evening so that should help our fatigue factor. And since it's been hotter than be-jeezus this summer, the team should be fairly used to hot weather, so our conditioning should be much improved.
I'm not expecting a win, but I am expecting a competitive game. Play them 10 times, we probably lose 8, but I'm hoping this weekend is one of the 2.
