I'd pick the ponies to cover. That defense has had some issues this year. Or do you not count the Baylor game?

13.5 sounds about right, but i'll take SMU plus the points.

I hope for the biggest spread possible so that when we win I score even bigger on the money line!

Metropolis777 wrote:That is absolutely ridiculous. Vegas gives 3 pts for home field. So they're saying we're 10.5 better than SMU. I ain't buying that. Not with this defense.
Our best win is over UTEP and we have questions at QB.....I think the line is about right, froggie. Now if Padron was playing up to his capability, or just playing, things would be different. Although McD has led us to three straight wins, the competition has been at a very low level. It's going to be different for McD against a more talented and aggressive defense, which y'all are.

I read that differently than you. I think he was saying that their D is not good.

This is our biggest game of the year. And it will be a big one for the Froggies as well. Our line will do its job. The big question is whether McDermott manages to stay vertical and not get rattled. If he does, then I think we stand a great chance on Saturday. I'm calling this one 28-27 SMU with the difference being a Margus Hunt blocked extra point and field goal.

McD won't get rattled. I think the A&M game proved that. Whether he stays vertical, however, will be key. Also, we CANNOT fumble the ball like we have been doing. Turn it over, and TCU will make us pay the way our last three opponents have been unable to do.

McD maybe didn't get rattled but remember A&M did not gameplan for McD. His lack of mobility has to be inviting to a gambling defense. He still got sacked 6 times against A&M. I know I'd bring the heat against McDermott and hope he makes some mistakes.

Do you think TCU will be a "gambling defense" this week, Counselor? They did lose Tanner Brock to injury and are trying to fit a few people into places where they have had missing pieces. Usually, a defense is more likely to gamble when they have confidence that everyone can perform well in their roles if left out on an island.
