so what are we hoping for now? Mizzou to stay, Big 12 to sit where they are, and BE to go to 12. If Mizzou leaves, and Big 12 grabs Louisville, WVU and/or Cincy, does Big East just crumble?
Trying to figure out where the chips fall aftr Mizzou decides.

The Washington Post blog post is based on older information, I believe. The apparent discussion right now is a 12 league team that includes us and Houston. Not sure what happens to ECU.

Rather lay it all on the line for SEC.
BE will die.

I predicted some time ago that the Big East would offer SMU and UH membership(patting myself on the back). But I suspect it is far from a done deal. This would be a far more attractive deal than CUSA if UCONN and WV stay put. I also think that this conference would have a good shot at retaining BCS status when that issue comes up again if it can hold together.

Only if you view others' profits as your loss.

The other division would be so weak until it is ridiculous.

It would be total insanity to wait on a SEC bid. you take the BE, be thankful and see how things go. They arent going to take away the BE BCS status - wont happen. We cannot afford to still be CUSA or non-BCS in 2014 when that contract expires - that is why this is all happening now. if you dont think there is urgency its only because you dont understand the ramifications.

Missouri is obviously the key to what the SEC will do, but I think we should be selling the heck out of what a big SEC footprint in Dallas and an in state rival for A&M in the DFW area (6.5 Million people with tvs) would could mean for that conference while these wheels are turning.

Just pull a TCU. Accept the Big East and when/if SEC comes calling, switch again.
Hopping from conference to conference is easy and fun!

Let's wait for the PAC 12, B12, B10, ACC and SEC want us and let the get into a bidding war. Until then CUSA=stability and we can be the king of the ant pile!
