I tell you when Coach Fedora won me over was when three of our players were shot by some thug coming out of a nightclub in Hattiesburg during last season. Coach Fedora spent all day and all night at the hospital the week it happened with the players and their families. He showed a caring for his players that far exceeded the coach/player relationship. He is a good man that has had some bumps in the road the last three years learning how to be a head coach, but he recruits well and is growing in his job. I really believe we lose him after this year or next year because unlike SMU, we can't pay the 2 million a year to keep him.

Hey you started this love fest when you started playing nice
Very nice. Short and to the point. A nice way to capitalize on the TCU win. As the late Al Davis said, "Just win baby". The crowds and support will come with winning. USM has had 17 straight winning seasons though and we fight the same battles to put butts in the seats. Of course we have a small market in the Hattiesburg area to draw from, while you have the Metroplex to draw from. No reason at all with winning that SMU can't match the support that TCU has achieved by winning. Of course you don't have a girly sounding, whiny head coach like TCU has. That has to help.
