hopefully with additional revenue we can bring back mens track & field. then can it again in 5 years to find the next Margus Hunt.

Do we have to add sports for the Big East?

I hope we add men's T&F...what women's sport would we add for Title BS, I mean Title IX?

Women's Lacrosse is a perfect fit for BE, so we can add Men's T&F/CC. Of course, a new Natatorium, so we can host BE Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Championships. 8) Remember, ND is all sports, less FB.

Big East has 12 baseball schools currently, 7 for men's lacrosse and 9 for women's.
T&F would seem like the best sport to add as it requires the least dedicated facilities and compliments football. Baseball and Lacrosse are a real land issue, we can't even place an IPF as it is. Also we have other sports at SMU that desperately need upgrading before we add more.

Women's Lacrosse is a very obvious addition if we accept the BE offer...

BE also currently has 13 softball schools. If we ever added baseball, softball would complement it. It also has 7 field hockey schools. So a number of options. Does not appear to have a conference equestrian program but does have rowing.

Was looking up SMU's sports and saw that there are only 18 D1 equestrian programs. Not saying it should be dropped now, but perhaps eventually transition to something more compatible with other schools/conferences and less expensive. Just a thought, unless this is something a few alumni put up a large amount to fund or is a cheaper program than it looks first glance.

LAX is the fastest growing Women's sport with 91 Div 1 teams. It is huge in BE, plus future divisional mates AFA, Cincinnati, and Louisville, plus Navy. And, Stanford, Michigan, Vanderbilt and NW, current champion, are big programs. Lastly, LAX team size helps Title IX, which allows us to add another Men's sport.

And in soccer, the BE is only behind the ACC in dominance. So, we'll have a tougher schedule in soccer once we join. Not to mention mens and women's hoops. UConn women are otherworldly.

The folks at PowerMizzou.com — the Rivals site covering Missouri — have reported this morning that “the ball will be rolling” regarding a Mizzou move to the SEC by the end of the week and that the move should be completed by the end of the month.

According to the site: “The basic thought is that the only way Missouri does NOT move to the SEC at this point is if the SEC pulls the rug out at the last minute.” Mike Slive isn’t the type of commissioner to do that. And he wouldn’t have allowed things to progress this far with Mizzou if he didn’t already know he had the votes to get them into the league.

Missouri’s board of curators will meet later this week

For now. Perhaps if enough teams leave we can get out of paying that ridiculous CUSA exit fee.

Which is what? I've been under a rock
