Threaten to add Temple and make ECU hold the boombox over their head outside of the Big East's window for another two hours. They want to hear the mix-tape play one more time.

They should all have to submit video applications arguing why they're best. Extra points awarded for coeds.

If both AFA and Navy commit, maybe Army will finally join. A10 can be raided for BB only schools if needed. ECU is in a crowded market, and Tulane can always be added if they ever decide to pull an SMU and get serious about FB, so no rush to add them now.
The Big East is quickly turning into CUSA 2.0, lets just hope this time we shed the dead weight. Waiting for a UNT fan to start talking about how UNT would be such a great fit in the Big East and how we are natural rivals...

Temple might be an attractive backfill option if they agreed to come in as a football only member and remain in the A-10 for other sports. That could result in 16 bball 12 football members, which strikes me as a better number for bball scheduling. With 16 members, you can do pods of 4 schools and play a 19 game conference schedule with home/home in your pod and 1 game against everyone else. Keeps some long time rivals together and helps build new rivals
Assuming Louisville (Big XII) and Rutgers (ACC) eventually leave, bball looks like this:
UConn, WVU, Providence, Seton Hall
St Johns, Georgetown, Nova, ECU or Memphis
Cincy, Marquette, Depaul, Notre Dame
SMU, Houston, USF, UCF
Football like this:
East: UConn, Temple, WVU, Navy, USF, UCF
West: Boise, AFA, SMU, Houston, Cincy, ECU or Memphis
Let's just hope the Big 10 doesn't decide to offer Missou and Rutgers and expand to become the Big XIV. At that point, all bets are off

They're a pain but Big 12 may be desperate enough to play ball.

If we're going with wild speculation let's come up with a good scenario.

BE votes to increase exit fee to 10M pending Navy and AFA accepting bids to join.

No mention of SMU and Houston.
Any word on AFA and Navy calling meeting this week for whatever boards oversee their schools?
