From Frank the Tank's blog:
While there seems to be a lot of Big East haters out in the college football world these days, rationally speaking, there’s no reason why even a Big East that’s down to 2 members left still isn’t more desirable than the Mount USA simply because there’s AQ status at stake. There will always be more leverage for a league to retain its AQ status than a newly formed league to attain it, especially in a BCS system that stacks the deck against upstarts.
UPDATE (10/17, 11:50 pm): Big East is reportedly inviting Houston. This dovetails with a scheduled Big East conference call to discuss realignment on Tuesday, so we also might see invites provided to SMU, UCF, Boise State, Navy and Air Force.

Big East road trips will be fun. Whether playing UConn or Rutgers, you just stay in New York City. Always fun for a few days. Going to Florida is always nice, but now West Virginia ? Never been their. Haven't been to Kentucky either, but that might be cool.

I was on a project throughout the state of West Virginia for about a month last year and its very scenic in parts. However, it is like taking a step back in time. Those people will think they've died and gone to Heaven when they come down for a game at SMU.

I'm sticking by my bying typo. It's an abbreviation.

But Rutgers has been visited by Man vs. Food. During away games there I will attempt the fat sandwich challenge, win, and name the new hoagie the "Fat Peruna":

go ahead and accept the BE invite. We can easily afford the $10 million once the SEC decides to make it official at the end of the season!!!

I would think that the new TV contract has buyout stipulations as well. I know you are just joking but our cost to leave is probably more than $10MM
