how did they get the Boston Globe to write the first article? I think it might be a sign that Boise and AF are hesitant but again I don't think this permanent Division 1AA designation is going to happen. No matter what even if they are down to 2 teams Big East will just backfill with the best programs availiable ie the ECUs, Temples, Southern Miss etc. This has always been a very possible scenario with the Big East-it could still be a better conference from SMU's perspective composed of programs which may not be powerhouses but still are doing what they can to compete at the highest level. Weed out the UABs, Tulanes and UABs-maybe even Memphis

How do most media reports get published? Sensationalism. The entire sports blog-o-sphere is pandering over what amounts to a CUSA email proposing a monstrosity.
