Mrsmrydel sat down for approximately 1 minute just before the game started and got her first glimpse of the SMU football experience for this year. She made 3 remarks.

1. SMU's uniforms are very nice.
2. USM's uniforms were not attractive
3. Why is your coach wearing black, it is not one of your colors

Keeping this a Silver Lining thread, I will only comment that 1 and 2 were nice to hear.

we played awful but if we punch it in from the 5, it was only 13-10 in the fourth quarter and we would have had momentum too. USM wanted it more last night though. we were due for a letdown, they are good, with a bye week, and they wanted to remove our heads for the Big East talk. they are gonna be really mad when we go SEC and join Ole Miss and Miss St. This is the silver lining thread right?

If and when we get the SEC I will personally be in charge of serving crow at the BUS Stop.

speaking of attractive, watching on tv did anybody see the USM cheerleader the camera kept focusing on? I don't usually comment on such but she was OU or USC Song Girl worthy. Best part of the telecast other than two Zach Line runs which were things of beauty.

True — JG's interception was extraordinary.
Still can't believe he caught that thing.

Didn't see the broadcast, but based on your description I believe she was standing right in front of us in pregame

They had several outstanding cheerleaders.
They must recruit for for their cheer squad.

Glad that JJ has SMU logo on his black jacket this year!

THe black shirt outside of the game is silly, but I tend to forgive it during the game. I've always been told that head coaches always wear a different color so the QB/players/etc can scan the sideline and immediately find him.

No. He has an SMU logo on his black shirt (that is new), but when he puts on his black jacket, which he did last night, it only has an adidas logo.

Your are right. Dark blue blends in with both white and red so much.

If before the season after completing the three game stretch with TCU, CFU and USM that the mustangs would be 2-1 with one of the wins against TCU and PAdron would not be quarterbacking and DJ, DT would be knocked out of game and Holman and Beas not 100% against USM who had a favorable open date and two weeks to prepare for MUstangs....would you have taken it? If we would have played USM at home after an open date after they had played UCF and TCU I think we roll! Anybody think T had aprayer in Norman? Couple of missing DB's exploited
