I knew going into TCU and UCF that we would win. But something just felt off about us - whether it's the lingering affects of the attendance issue (which the players were fully aware of and affected by), or the damn conference realignment talk, coupled with the fact that USM had a bye week. It just felt like a recipe for a guaranteed loss. Now for the Tulsa game, I'm not sure how I feel. If this team responds well to the loss I think we'll be just fine, but Tulsa will be another rough test.
@ Spread Eagle>>We are well aware of how good USM's football team is. So you feel like coming on to an SMU blog and spread the flame. Don't you have to go to church and put on your Sunday best. You know, the bedsheet shirt and pants with the pillowcase hat. Now GTFO.
Yes, I knew and I knew TT would throttle OU in Norman and Holland would throw a two-hitter. That is sports and with the injuries in sports and some teams having favorable schedulling and home games with bye weeks give an advantage. Doesn't mean it is a for-sure thing but football has some built-in things happen where the playing-field isn't level. Seriously, knew it would be tough setting but with an experienced team thought we could pull it out! Wouldn't be surprised if USM gets ambushed in El Paso this week. I see UCF beating USM and if we can take care of business facing UCF in CUSA championship game. Gotta win out though because I don't see much competition for UH except us.
