I expect us to do a lot better vs. Tulsa.

I think we can control their offense and their defense is nowhere near USM.
They are #81 and #85 in Sacks and TFLs respectively. Those were the biggest stats I felt going into USM where USM was strong and now on the flip side we have a much better match-up vs. Tulsa.

Look for a win.

Have to remember that Tulsa's only losses were @ OU, @ Boise, and OSU at home. The other 4 games they have won by at least 2 touchdowns. Don't let the 4-3 record fool anyone, this is a good team.

Tulsa's defense is much than USM's defense. If we come out flat this could become another tough game to watch, but our defense did a great job against an arguably tougher offense and will hopefully learn from that and dominate Tulsa's receiver deficient offense.

Rice was able to put up 20 on Tulsa, our offense should be able to better than that if they can snap out of their funk.

Do not overlook Tulsa or Rice. Rice had 3 turnovers in the first quarter that led directly to 17 points for Tulsa. It was 17-0 before Rice even got into any type of rhythm. Things tightened up a little after that.

Laken Litman
Stephen Kaiser is new backup QB for #SMU behind McDermott. Kyle Padron hurt his back lifting weights last week. Hurts him even to sit down.

If McDermott gets hurt early in the game, I predict 21 interceptions by Tulsa.

In practice he gives the dbs a lot of opportunities... put it that way. Maybe he's a gamer?
