another thing to think of, if UT's final mission is to go Indy once the LHN is completely legit, they probably don't want the Big 12 to powerful or to stabile so they can leave it behind.

I never predicted anything about ND-I posted an article that said ND was reviewing its options for its non-football programs -one of which was the Big 12-one of which presumably was to band together with Big East private basketball schools. That's news-not a prediction. But in this deal Big 12 holds all the cards. Despite what some "insiders" suggest-ALL Big East football teams teams will jump on the first offer of a ride out of town whether it comes from the Big 12 or ACC

Agreed. Plus, Boise is the key to the BCS status, and UH has nearly as many points toward AQ status as WVU anyway. But we just need to land where Boise lands. Not to mention the tv revenue alone would make it worth it.

If it blows up in a few years, it blows up. Even if we end up back on the outside, we're just back where we are right now with $40 mil of extra revenue in the bank.

They backfill with best on Conf USA and MWC...

Create 16 team super conference, sign with fox TV, let Fox go after ESPN guns blazing, and that will get 5 AQ spot...

man I wish big east would move with these darn invites. every day the news gets worse! If big east lets WVU out, doesn't that set a precedent for Pitt and Cuse and possibly louisville??
