SMU linebacker Taylor Reed suspended one game for conduct detrimental to team

I do not have my rivals sub anymore so I do not know what was said over there, but I did see in the game a play where Reed hit a USM kid kind of late out of bounds (I do not recall if a penalty was called). Reed started getting into it on the sideline with the USM kids, and JaGared came and pulled him away. They jawed at each other for a moment. I do not know if that has anything to do with this or not but the comments above seem to lean towards that. I do not recall when this was but I think perhaps near the start of the 2nd half.

i know june is all into mana, but i want guys to get fired up. this is ridiculous.

Ridiculous is what went on with that situation on the field and on the sideline the entire second half. A long long way from being fired up.

There wasn't a flag a flag was warranted. If the situation was reversed, we would have wanted a flag.

There was a swing at a somiss player that I saw. It was not flagged.

I believe we are about to see the arrival of one Kevin Pope in a big way. Love me some Taylor Reed, but I look forward to seeing Mr. Pope perform.

I think this is JJs way of reminding the players that it is his way or the highway. I remember a similar episode when ES was playing. Hope this doesn't impact our D too much.

Why was he a distraction at the USM game and why is he being suspended for a game?

I didn't see the other pages when I posted above. I can say he was out of control at the TCU game and was spoken to by Jones during the game about his behavior. He was getting out of control and unmanageable lately. But I hate to seem out he is a tremendous linebacker. I don't believe for a minute it is random and Jones just trying to play games as suggested.

Jones always says on Stampede conduct yourselves with class on the field when they depart the locker room. I think Taylor is getting out of control a bit and is being reeled back in a little.

certainly lost it at the USM game, no question about it.
