We have terrible fan support, a mediocre team, and a head coach who looks like he has all but checked out. What has happened the last two weeks is proof we are where we belong and if we had any dignity we would turn down the Big East.
wow - for someone who spent 30hrs of your week following conf talk - you are completely ridiculous

I will make my trip down from Little Rock as usual, as Myrdel does each time. No matter how disappointed I am in SMU, (and I have been going to the games since 1955) I cannot stay away.

I fear that in typical SMU fashion, only 16k will show and 3-4,000 of them will leave after the homecoming queen is crowned.
and we think we are deserving of a top 25 program and AQ status?
Prove me wrong, SMU community
P.S. you know my comments aren't directed to the hard core faithful on this board...it's all of our classmates and fellow alumni who live in the DFW area and could not care less about SMU football.
Long live the 1500!
In typical SMU fashion, 3-4,000 will leave before the homecoming queen is crowned, and the same number will leave afterward. That is shameful.
We'll be there from kickoff until the band plays Peruna. Then it's back to the 'Vard to celebrate being eligible for a bowl!

It looked like there were about 16K there for UCF. I can't imagine there will be more than 12K actually in seats for Tulane. And, SMU aside from the discussion, why is ECU such a poor expansion candidate? I can't figure it out...
I am flying in for the reunion and planning on going to the game with hoepfully others who are coming in for the reunion, crowd might be better than people think......
Just sayin
also most people knew our schedule was ridiculous before the season started, didn't set up for a repeat of the conference championship but if you win out you never know. Tulsa is at UCF next week and Houston could lose to Tulsa you just don't know.....
I'll be at the game, but man, a lost to Tulane will end our team for good. I mean the Big East will go after USM (better fan support, and team). However, regardless of the quality of our team currently, fans at UT watched teams come into their homefield and wreck their team. We havent let that happen to us fortunately so we should be there to show them we want a 9-3 season! Plus as fans, if we could fill the ford, it looks amazing. Dont give up on our team, the effort they put in last two seasons is what got us a 99% chance at the Big East. Looking at rivals, there are possible commitments that are contingent to SMU's ticket to the Big East.
