If people really don't like June, be sure to bring as many people to the game as possible to voice your opinion. How else will he here you?

Try and cheer for our players while you're there, after all you are supposed to be fans that care about the team and not just people that like to complain about anything and everything....

When you're used to losing for 25 years you will settle for anything

Tulane is coming and hells coming with them .

go back to your bottle, sir.

After 25 years of losing, I'm loving the fact that even after two losses, we can debate WHICH bowl we'll be going to.

Thank you, Coach Jones. Keep building our program.

Yes, thank you Coach Jones for bringing this team out of the cellar and to our first bowl games in 20 years. You deserve all of our thanks and gratitude as SMU fans, and I hope you are able to stick around and help our team go even higher---first to a conference c-ship one day and then maybe even a BCS bowl game.

By the way, just one little thing: Do you think you could maybe do a little something to fire up the team after the last couple of weeks and help them find their mojo? I don't know. Maybe kick a locker or something. Jump around and yell. Whatever it takes. Thanks much!

I'll see you this weekend when I + 3 more will be traveling more than 500 miles to watch SMU lay wood to Tulane. I promise, keep winning, but do it consistently, and slowly but surely the fans will start increasing. You only need to look 45 miles to the west for proof.

Good post, BRStang. All of this complaining sounds familiar. Just last year, LSU fans were ready for Les Miles' head on a post. (Sadly, the haters will emerge again if LSU loses to Alabama.)

Has our "need" for instant gratification spilled over to expectations for and demands of this program? Or does all this angst merely reflect that some of the posters on here have the maturity of a 14 year old who's never be told "no"?

Everyone's free to post their opinions, and I don't have to like what you say, but IMO, this "get rid of June" mentality and the pontifications of the resident armchair coaches on the obsolescence of the RNS are more tiresome than the dozens of conference realignment threads.

Beat Tulane!

I have unrealistically high expectations so our performance the last two weeks is absolutley unacceptable.

I honestly don't care who the coach is, as long as we win!

I really do like what JJ has done for SMU. I just don't think he can consistently win as a BCS team. He hasn't really had the chance so what do I know. He just seems like someone who gets out-coached fairly often during a match, and his lack of effusive emotions during a game can be demotivating as has been seen the last two weeks. JJ can bring back obscure programs back to relevancy in a way that very few men can, but at the same time I don't think he's the coach to bring a mediocre team to a level of BCS excellence. Maybe he'll prove us wrong in the next few years. Either way, he has made SMU a much more attractive job in the future which could help us land another big name should he go elsewhere.

I thought your point was just to annoy everyone. We've understood that since about post 13! :D

Hey Cox, just add Banjo as a foe, then he has no audience to annoy.

I will join this thread as one who is glad JJ made the decision to come to SMU. Who else was going to have the ability to turn this train wreck around...and was willing to take on the challenge?

I've heard JJ say his goal is to restore the program to a level where anyone else can come in here and sustain success. Let's hope he stays long enough to accomplish that...because we aren't there yet
