There is an "East Texas" poster on TCU board who is saying he's 100% definitely going to TCU. But he doesn't explain how he gets around the 2 year transfer rule which several posters mentioned. Technically I believe that TCU does not become a member until July so would a transfer this January come under that rule? It would seem like it should since TCU has officially accepted but who knows

Have the tcwho admin and coaches participated in any meetings etc of the whorens12-xxx? If so then perhaps they would be considerd as already being participating members.
Any ideas/opinions from Ponyfans attys?

SMU offers the best academics in the area is closer to his hometown than TCU and no Big12 conference conflict. If this is truly a hardship transfer he could play immediately next year (has 3 years left). If it is not deemed a hardship then he is better off going to an FCS program given he has already used his redshirt year. Could work out well for him and SMU, how are his grades?

If his mother has cancer it may not have anything to do with playing time, academics, conferences, or anything of that nature and everything to do with location to her.

What other schools that play FCS are near his hometown?

SFA is slightly closer than SMU to his hometown. If she is getting treated in Tyler then SFA is closer as well, if she gets treated in Dallas then SMU.

I heard he was 75% definitely going to TCU

He said it was a "Sure thing". Loved that movie. But no I was using his words.

That is a question that needs answering. IMO if tcwho has participated in any of the meetings etc of their new conference I would think it could be contrued as already being a member, hence a two year wait period. Good question for some of our PF attys.

RB Traylon Shead announced that he will transfer from UT as well

Saw a tweet about this dude. We offered out of HS. It would not be a bad gig to be the place for UT transfers to come.

First we take their transfers. Then we just start taking their recruits. "You could got to UT, not be given a chance, wait one to two years, transfer, sit out a year, play for SMU, or you could come straight to SMU and be given a chance to play."
