I hope the MWC and CUSA stay on course with their proposed merger and like the idea of UTEP back to the MWC, but instead of two 8 member leagues, I'd consider 9 members as it provides a "fair" schedule where everyone has 4 home/4 road conference games. Move UTEP back west and MWC has 9 members. One backfill in CUSA from among La Tech, Ark St or FIU

The other alternative would be to keep it a 16 team league where you play everyone in your division once and one team from the other division. The league that wins the most cross-divisional games hosts the championship game.
