What will be his excuse for waiting all these years and victims to testify? I did not know who to tell? He chose to let it die along with his own soul.

Unfortunately, with our white collar justice system, most will skate or just get the minimum required.

To understand what is going on at Penn and why nobody except the victims will be prosecuted and possibly killed watch Conspiracy of Silence.

from all I've read, joe pa told the ad, which is what he was supposed to do. I think he will get crucified for not following up or taking it further. This is really crazy!

I havent read the Pensylania law, but I suspect it uses the same language as Texas law which is based on a model act. It requires anyone with a suspicion that a child has been abused to report it to law authorities. Could it be that Paterno didn't believe the person who gave him the information? I'm not defending Paterno, in fact my understanding of the law is that the term "suspicion" is defined very broadly. Very disturbing information to carry around without calling the cops I would think.

The coach also apparently wrote a book after he retired called "Touched". Perhaps someone should have been paying attention....

don't you think Paterno would have at least followed up and asked his AD what happen after Paterno told him? the AD told the grand jury Sandusky was horsing around. Did they tell Paterno that and it ends? Let's sweep this under the rug Joe, we don't want happy valley to get a reputation. This is serious stuff and godly Paterno will be protected.

as a father, i don't know how Joe Paterno could let something like this go. I don't care how good a coach the guy is. there is nothing lower than taking advantage of children like that. if he did know about it, and was involved in not reporting it (which it sounds like) he's just as guilty.

this disgusts me to no end.

That didn't take long. PSU's AD took a leave of abscence to defend against the charges, while PSU's VP took an early retirement.

Joe Pa is so old, he probably doesn't know what sodomy is? Think they'll take away his 1981 National Championship? Then it would be ours!
