just curious......if and when more 'normal' college football fans begin filling the stadium, and that results in alienating the old, non-exuberant fans like this woman.....well, does that have any impact on the $$$ support of the program. in other words, do these staid fans constitute a substantial source of financial support of the football/athletic program?

I think we don't have to worry about that too much. We will gave 10 million new bucks from the BE tv contract and anyone who is substantial enough to worry about is up in a box anyway.

We have a place for the passive fan - it's the club seating where the other non standers should be.

Difficult to justify not cheering from the stands of a football game no matter how much you give.

I think I can answer that question. The short answer is no. They will be encouraged to bring a large sack of silver and gold coins to the game and shake it like a cow bell in support of our team. Cha-ching, Pony Up.

In regards to the lady who has a problem with me, she attends every home game and has even through our horrible teams. In no way to I want to run her out of the stadium. Very few people like her have made it through the lean years. I am hoping that maybe the first 7 rows or something become the rowdy section as we are immediately behind the players. I feel bad when they turn around and see nobody cheering.

If Mrydel did a better job of cheering we wouldn't have this problem. Or we should all start singing the Bus man song.

Tough to cheer loud when there is a guy in front of you that stands and doesn't let you see what is going on.

Who is this woman Front, and what does she look like, that one has to keep yelling at '94 to go down on at the game. By the way '94, your quite the exhibitionist if you listen to the people in the stands sitting behind you. I applaud you fortitude not to go down. And, while most have always supported the Southern Method stand you ground.

I only stand for kickoffs, third downs and huge plays. I have the Mrydel and Bus seal of approval so it's all good.
