Not fired, but not coaching saturday because of concerns for his safety.

Have to believe someone called in a death threat along with the fact concerns about someone coming on to the sideline and beating the tar out of him

the more I hear about this, the more it infuriates me that McQueary is still on the team. I agree 100% that Paterno needed to be fired, but for the same reasons, all the other people who failed to respond need to be fired IMMEDIATELY. You have to hold everyone accountable.

That is crazy. He watched a 50 year man rape a 10 year old boy and walked away. The next day he called his boss and that was it.

Any grown man that would witness something like that and not intervene to keep the child from continuing to be raped is a real scum bag. He should have stopped him right away and called the police.

unless......... he didn't give everyone up. perhaps, someone in sufficient power was also in the loop, but he didn't disclose that individual(s) to the grand jury? fire him -- and, additional names disclosed?
maybe, a trustee or two?

his inaction is still despicable, but this might explain why he is still around.

Not surprised. Will be volatile atmosphere on Sat. with all the mixed up emotions, esp. after people have been drinking all morning.
