I hope I don't offend anyone with this statement, but I respect our kids as much as I do the midshipmen. We have some pretty high caliber kids on our team too.

Our kids are not called on to make the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

It was Veteran's Day weekend, all of the service branches were honored including Mustangs in the military.

Beating Navy wouldn't have affected our bowl outcome at all. Where are they getting 7 wins from, we only have 6 and might not win again this season.

Many of us from SMU have served in the military after college

i love david robinson. i love roger staubach. i love our troops and america. but i hate the navy football team. we have to quit playing them.

i loved the trip to Annapolis last year, except for blowing the game in the second half. Rude? Backwoods? You must have gone to a different game.

I saw a lot of our fans honoring navy by wearing navy, and they will probably

be the same people wearing red at coog high SATURDAY.

Is Rice that big of a concern? If SMU can't beat Rice at home on Senior Day, then the problems are deeper than anyone has imagined.

That thought crossed my mind.

That's ludicrous. If that truly were his reasoning he'd take the win now and "tank" against Rice. Either way, this is a bunch of nonsense.

Yes, Rice is that big of a concern, they have a couple of good backs and a mobile QB, McD will make their defense look a lot better than they are.

LOL. I went to USAFA and BYU hated us (and, of course, we hated them)! They didn't give a rats [deleted] about the military component when it had to do with football. And in many ways, for Academy players and fans that can quite refreshing. The AF football players wanted to be treated like regular opponents too. When opposing fans get sick of the adulation, this is when the rivalries start forming. Good stuff.

We don't play well against an option offense that we see once a year. Our offense on the other hand is not producing what it should. We should have had at least 35 points against Navy. McDermott threw that early pick by over-throwing his wide receiver badly. We were moving the ball fine. That gave Navy all the momentum they needed to get fired up and start taking over the game.
