sure, we all would, but is a 6-6 CUSA team going to even get a phone call for that one?
We will not be 6-6. Guarantee 7-5 and I have a feeling we give Houston a run for their money

Arent we going to be 7-5 to end.... i mean surely we wouldnt lose to rice. I think all the teams we lost to could destroy rice, and some of the teams we beat could as well. Im not too worried about rice.

Come on Stallion. Everything below the Liberty Bowl with CUSA tie ins is a participation ribbon. Might as well go to the place that is the most fun for both the players and the fans. After Hawaii that would be New Orleans. Selfishly I would prefer NOLA. Now when we are AQ the stakes will change.

sbsmith wrote:Have you seen C-USAs bowl situation lately? There's a strong possibility there only might be 4 bowl-eligible teams and the ones left that can get bowl eligible are looking at finishing 6-6 at best.
Anyone know the answer to this:
Do the C-USA bowl games have to take C-USA teams first when the conference doesn't fulfill its bowl obligations? And by that, I mean could the bowl with the 2nd or 3rd selection take an at-large team from another conference over a C-USA team and punt the C-USA teams to the lower bowls? Or do the top 4 bowls have to take the 4 C-USA teams?

I have tickets to AFB and Ticket City. I am happy to attend either, or sell them all to pay for a NOLA trip.

New Orleans bowl is complete garbage. No one cares about it, no one watches it and its the first week of bowls so you really don't get the benefit of that much extra practce time. You want the bowl game to be visible. Hawaii, AFB, Ticket City all more visible on a national level than the New Orleans bowl which should be broadcasted on the ocho.

plus the New Orleans Bowl interferes with Finals-don't be surprised if a few players flunk out. The Bowl simply SUCKS. I can't believe we have fans wanting to play a Sun Belt team rather than Big 10 or BYU

New Orleans bowl may be in a great location but it will put us in near obscurity during the Bowl Season when it comes to eyeballs. Also ArkSt runs a quick hurry up offense which has been our Achilles hill all season. Potentially terrible way to end the season.
AFB or Ticket city if a match-up vs Hawaii in Hawaii is ruled out by Hawaii not getting to 7 wins. Hawaii seems like it might offer us the most attention viewership wise. Ticket city offer us a win over Big10, but they way this team has been play, I would rather face up against UH's back up QB. UH is currently a 4pt favorite against Fresno and also play Tulane and BYU. SMU-Hawaii is still possible.

Who cares if Line is out? Go play them.
Yep. I agree.

I will concede the date of the NO Bowl is not advantageous.

i hear Longhorn network is trying to pick up the NO bowl instead of a girls volleyball game. It was a close decision though.
