Not being a rival subscribers, nor seem likes it worth getting because they are constantly wrong about this issue. What are we worrying about, and why would BYU be bad? Just let them keep their mormon channel who cares. Im just really sick and tired of this delay. When it comes to this being, unfortunately, our only option just need to patient. I guarantee that if we want just a sprinkle of relevancy, we need this deal, otherwise no one will know who we are. I wish if we were more established, that we were independent and schedule games with Big 12, CUSA, Pac12, BE. We would get destroyed most of the time, but at least after awhile we will be use to it and recruits will feel like we are more attached with AQs.

Can we get a little bit better of a hint? As of Friday. the SLC Tribune was reporting BYU to the Big East as a done deal.

I'll give you a little bit w/o going into too much detail.
BYU threw the BE a curveball on Friday and it messed the whole thing up.

I continue to suffer from an acute case of Conference Affliation Indifference. In other words, I really don't care one way or another what happens here.
If it works out, great. If not, no big deal.

So BYU is demanding something unreasonable based on their equivalent of the Longhorn Network? Is that the gist?

Let's just invite BYE instead of BYU. At least SMU would have a decent shot of winning another conference game.

And the Big East is balking to the point where they will withdraw an invite?

Who cares. BYU wasn't even in the initial discussion when the BE was going to expand. They just became part of the picture and seemed like a good addition. While I would like to have BYU, they are no deal killer. The BE will be a much better conference than CUSA. If UH can crack a BCS game they are more valuable than BYU when trying to maintain BCS status. Time to move forward. Oh, and who cares about a big national media splash. Wouldn't really happen anyway because 1) it's the BE and 2) everyone has already been privy to pretty much all the teams going for weeks now.

I'd guess BYU wants a UT-like deal for their home games. I thought the problem was that ESPN wouldn't let them out of their contract...but possibly BYU wants home games aired on Mormon Network?? If this is the case, Big East should withdraw the invite. BYU has zero BCS points if I recall, so if they aren't part of the new tv deal then there is really no point in inviting them aside from public perception and national fanbase.
