God I love San Diego. I was on a project out there for work three years ago and they had to drag me back to Dallas.

I understand the position that you need to be ready and willing to walk away from BYU, but let's hold off a second to see if we can't work this out. If not, I'm fine rolling with SDSU.

My gut says we work it out.

BYU's head too big to fit through the door again. This is why the Big 12 gave them the finger. Like Texas & Notredame, they are stuck with a TV contract that's has more baggage then Elton John on a shopping spree. Unlike UT or ND, the Morman consumer ain't that valuable to college football's biggest advertiser - Anheiser Busch.

The NotreDame of the west strike's again.

It depends on whether or not BYU was bluffing. Sounds like the BE said hell no and now BYU is scrambling to get the BE back to the bargaining table. BE shouldn't close the door in BYU's face, but they need to make it clear to BYU that that BS they wanted from the article ain't gonna fly.

Exactly. This is what happens when you deal with the Devil in Provo, Utah. This isn't new. This has been the BYU way of doing business for decades. They want it all their way. They're unwilling to compromise. They'll stab you in the back when they get the chance.

As you read from the above TCU poster, he knows exactly what I'm talking about.

They basically would have wanted to run the conference their way just like they did when they were in the WAC and MWC. The commissioners of those conferences bowed down to their alleged power and gave them everything they wanted and then when BYU was done using them, they cast those conferences to the side of the road.

As soon I read where the Big East was approaching BYU, I believed this was going to go the way of BYU of wanting everything and conceding nothing which would then cause everything to back up.

...and when you think you have an agreement with them, just wait for that brief period of time when they come back to you and tell you "they've had a change of heart.''

I've been around these people for 3 decades. They aren't who they say they are.

With BYU not being in your conference --- LESS IS MORE!!

But at least for the moment BYU remains set on keeping their present BYU TV deal as is.

While the Big East and BYU continue to work to craft a deal that both can live with Central Florida, SMU and Houston want to start their move to the Big East. Boise State is still behind the BYU bid as their first choice however they have given the green light that San Diego State would be an acceptable replacement for the Cougars.

Both BYU and the Big East want this deal to workout and they are doing all they can to find a compromise as fans of both the university and the conference hope that deal can be worked out.

But the Aztecs are waiting in the wings just in case.

Big East could be"California Dreaming."

Its pretty much the best city on the west coast.

San Fran is alright but the uberliberals and the skinny jeans out there ruin it for me

I went to USD for one glorious year...discovered the Grateful Dead and all the bad things that went with them and my folks made me transfer to Tulsa.

Love the Gaslamp, the zoo, wild animal park, Balboa Park, Black's Beach, and most of all....La Jolla.

However, Seattle has been, and probably always will be, my favorite city on Earth. Its not even so much Seattle but the entire Pacific Northwest. My g/f and I go there for at least one weekend a year and it is so wonderful every time. Last year we went on up to Victoria B.C. and that was an incredible experience as well. Should StallionsModelT get out of this working game with a boatload of greenbacks I may have to set up shop in British Columbia. Just beautiful.

Victoria is badass.

When I used to Hedge Fund Id go to Vancouver to see companies and would take one of those seaplanes to Victoria. Easily the best place in BC.

Anyway...embrace CUSA
