Since JJ wants to go back to Hawaii Bowl and play Hawaii, it actually has more to do with us than more schools.

Yeah. To suggest this has anything to do with SMU is ridiculous.
That being said, I do recall in 2003 there were some oddly timed turnovers.

what, they're shaving so to not qualify for the hawaii bowl? no. shaving is usually done by underlings like receivers or OLmen who shift just a little to cost points or give up a sack at a critical time.
this has zero to do with us. zero. don't even infer that.

I bet this comes to nothing but if anyone saw the Hawaii Bowl last year Hawaii had 6 turnovers-3 pick-6s although 2 QBs were involved so that suggests otherwise-but check out some of these Ints where ball was thrown right at Tulsa players

Maybe I should rephrase - SMU is not directly connected to this. I think that's a given.
But would SMU fans be interested in this more than other schools? I think so, hence the link.

These looked more legit than BLM throwing INTs at defensive linemen

Could point shaving involve coaches, players or both?

I remember that game, Moniz had a big grin on his face after several of his picks.
