I agree...the kid has played extremely well the past couple weeks. Huge game, a lot of effort, much needed effort, in todays win! Hopefully he keeps working and never gets satisfied, could be a playmaker for us in the future!!
Pony up!

Unlike similar statements by June, I put some value in such a statement from mason
Have to replace Rogers for that to happen...
For the D as a whole, I think we will be deeper at DT, but we need a couple of RS Frosh play bigtime next year. Grenier took a RS and is available, and Hunt has played very well the last 5 games, but Grenier is a decent backup. Need a quality starter to emerge off of Hunt.
And if we can get enough corner depth to run a true nickel instead of using an extra saftey, that would be great. Lazerus and 24 hopefully are ready to go with Acker. Maybe Parks can make a break through, or Gray.
I think we will struggle a little to start the year next season on offense and defense because of the change in the lines.

Needs a better number than 51, IMO

He's an example of the talent upgrade we're just beginning to experience ... why I've been pushing for updates on Moreland (who might even be better). I think we are solid at LB obviously. Dline was a concern but I think we'll be ok with Pitman, Hunt, and I'm liking Aaron Davis ... CB should be solid with Acker and that transfer from Nebraska, now my concern is safety ... depth will be improved but still not great.
Anyway, I'm really excited for next year ... hopefully we'll come out firing in our bowl game and play hard all 4 quarters on both sides of the ball ...
Stephon Sanders is a serious LB

But this defense has to do a better job of creating turnovers. That's been the part that's lacking in the last two years.
Sanders was very impressive against Rice.

Mitch,
Is the Floyd a trophy for the winner of the Minnesota/Iowa game?

The young talent at LB is very encouraging. Sanders, Nwabuike, Joyner, Pope, Yenga, Moreland (?), and some our 2012 recruits are legit BCS caliber athletes. Too bad it's probably the only position where we have quality depth.

I think we will have BCS quality depth at WR with addition of Marks
