Re: Where will JJ end up?
CMF- again we agree. JJ is not going anywhere- much to Mitch's chagrin. He came here with a job to do and a goal in mind. IMO he is nowhere finished. Contrary to some on this board I do not believe he is here for the money. I suspect that JJ is fairly wealthy and could probably retire and live nicely off of his investments.
If he were to leave it would be a serious blow for our program. I imagine we would lose a lot of recruits that have verbally committed next year and the year after. He would also probably take his entire coaching staff. So we would not only lose him, but Klemm, Mason et al.
I laugh at some of the names mentioned. Most of them have just been fired etc. Why would we want a person that couldn't do the job at another program? I would think we would want a coach that is currently very successful at a major university. Not some retread.
GO PONIES!!!

Well you accused me of not giving a rip about the skillet when you misrepresented the facts. So who are you?

He said he would not leave SMU until he saw it fit that they could sustain winning after he left. I don't think we are at that point yet.

Mitch- I went back and checked your post about the skillet and mayors cup. I misinterpreted your comments and I was wrong. My bad.
However, I am also very aware of your dislike for JJ and his 'system'- no mistake there. We want the best for our school- just have different ideas on how it should be accomplished.

Yes, we can agree to disagree about the best way to get there. FWIW, I appreciate him raising the visibility of the program. However, I am not a fan of the way he conducts his business here both on and off the field.

I originally voted UCLA but I am unofficially changing my answer to Kona. Not Korea.

This close to Festivus is always confusing for the practitioners.
I'd kill for a Nobel Peace Prize.
